Experts advise Chief Executives on expediting Trilogy proposal

The GIIC, which consists of chief executives of the world's ICT firms, held a workshop on 30th September 2009 to decide whether to help expedite Trilogy's Congestion Exposure proposal. This proposal, which is being developed in the Trilogy project, is a new approach for capacity sharing on the Internet.

The workshop assessed the proposal from three perspectives: commercial, public policy and technical. A dozen invited experts in these fields gave their considered views and discussed them with the GIIC commissioners. All comments were positive and potential obstacles to adoption were thoroughly aired. The GIIC will now agree its action plan.
