Ohad Finkelstein, Partner, Head of International Investments, Venrock Israel

Ohad Finkelstein joined Venrock in 2005. With an extensive background in the finance, technology, and telecom industries as well as in developing new companies, markets, and products globally, Ohad leads international investments for Venrock, with a focus on Israel, Europe, India and China. His prior stint as Chairman, President, and CEO of the pan-European Interoute Telecom Group added to his previous experience as Senior Vice President International Sales and Vice President Global Operations for VocalTec Communications Inc. Ohad has also held management positions at companies including Packard Bell Electronics in the U.S. and has served as a senior advisor for IDEA, a world leader in financial and economic analysis. In 2008, Ohad was named one of the world’s 100 most influential people in telecom by Global Telecoms Business magazine.

Ohad served either as an independent board member or chairman with Pentacom (acquired by Cisco in 2000), P-Cube (acquired by Cisco in 2004), Kagoor Networks (acquired by Juniper in 2005), Qpass (acquired by Amdocs in 2006) and B-hive (acquired by VMware in 2008). He currently serves on the boards of the following global companies:  Ethos Networks, Exanet, Inc., Sensomatix Ltd, Xconnect PLC, A-La-Mobile Inc., and Tudou China. He also serves on the board of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Israel and is a member of the Israel British Business Council.
