Mike Hook holds a First Class Honours degree from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham.  Mike joined Roke Manor Research in 1985, focusing on the application of Knowledge Based Systems technology in the area of telecommunications.  Mike has over 20 year's experience in the application of advanced software engineering techniques to fixed and mobile data communications.  This work has included a range of system modelling and software development activities, including leading the software development for the first HSDPA data card to be demonstrated at 3GSM and CeBIT.  Mike presently has the position of Principal Project Consultant at Roke Manor Research.
