Hossein Moiin, 21CN Mobility Lead Architect, BT Group

Hossein Moiin is the mobility fellow in BT Design where he is responsible for the mobile architecture of the BT group and its mobility strategy. Prior to his current role Hossein Moiin was the group vice president for technical strategy at T-Mobile, International where he led the development of the Next Generation of Mobile Networks, , an industry-wide initiative that sets the future vision of the mobile industry.. Before joining T-Mobile, Dr. Moiin worked for Sun Microsystems in US and Europe to develop strategic platforms for telecommunication and financial sectors. Dr. Moiin has over twenty years of experience in the ICT industries and holds a Ph. D. from University of California in Computer Engineering.

Hossein Moiin has over twenty years of experience in the telecommunication and information technologies in USA, Europe, and Asia. Currently, he is the 21CN Mobility Lead Architect for BT.  Prior to his current role, Hossein was Group Vice President for Technical Strategy at T-Mobile International, where he was responsible for formulating the technical strategy of the group including the impact of disruptions and innovations.  His main interest is the application of technology to realise business opportunities and in this capacity he leads the NGMN initiative of the mobile industry.  Dr. Moiin has also held the roles of chief architect of T-Mobile where he worked on next generation mobile networks and data services. And before joining T-Mobile, Dr. Moiin was with Sun where he designed some of their fault-tolerant and highly available systems.  In addition to his role in T-Mobile, Dr. Moiin is an independent consultant to venture capital firms and innovation based start-ups. Dr. Moiin has a PhD in computer engineering from University of California.
